KENDAL MINT CAKE made in KENDAL and carried by climbers and explorers to give them energy.

CUMBRIAN BREWERIES can be found at COCKERMOUTH the home of JENNINGS BREWERY Another long standing brewery can be found at HARTLEYS OF ULVERSTON.
Various micro breweries have sprung up at HESKET NEWMARKET, KESWICK, TIRRIL (now moved to BROUGHAM)
